The purpose of the Miami Valley Disaster Recovery Team (MIVDRT) ministry is to organize and equip volunteers who serve others and share Christ when an unexpected disaster or crisis has damaged the security of individuals, families, and communities. The Miami Valley DRT demonstrates the love and hope found in Christ through practical and significant acts of kindness, mercy, witness, and care. This is evident from the work the MIVDRT team accomplished when it deployed to Henrysville, Indiana in August 2014 to help rebuild a home devastated by the Tornado in March of 2012.
The Miami Valley Disaster Recovery Team better known as MIVDRT! is trained and equipped to deploy during any phase of a disaster. Our team has deployed during the "Response" phase, immediately after a disaster, the "Relief" phase, days or months after a disaster, and the "Recovery" phase, which can be months or years after a disaster when the rebuilding efforts are a priority!!
